I really like the course and for a municipal course its a good one. There are other courses near-by and cheaper but not quite as good. I'd recomend playing this course to anyone. The cons the grille is a little expensive and slow. The pro shop staff are nice but I wouldn't buy any golf equipment there too expensive.

Our group of refugees from the frozen north played here on a chilly February day (upper 30's), so any course would look good to us golf-starved addicts.
Deer Run is a nice middle-of-the-road design. Nothing too radical, but also nothing too memorable. Basically a pretty flat course, with wide, tree-lined fairways, and good-sized greens with modest contouring. Most memorable thing was the cart-paths, which are asphalt, and heavily rutted and damaged by tree roots. One plus: the scorecard is very well done, with a diagram of each hole: very helpful for newcomers to the course. Course is pretty compact, and is walk-able.
Staff we met were pleasant and despite wondering what kind of wackos wanted to play in these conditions, were cordial. Overall, we recommend, but this is a decent track in an area with many really excellent courses, so it suffers by comparison. BTW, after the round, we found that we could have played for $12 each using an on-line tee sheet, so check all sources before heading out.
